Leisel & Cheryl
Area 32 and Area 9 are having a joint Conference on Saturday 23rd October at the TAFE College, Cairns. Each Toastmasters Club sends representatives to compete in Table Topics, Evaluations, Humorous and International speeches.
Leisel Pisani will be representing Mt Sheridan in the Table Topics category. Leisel is a marriage celebrant (see www.ourceremony.com.au) with a warm and zany personality. This will be Leisel’s first time as a contestant at Area level.
Rod Sheather will have a busy day, entering the Evaluation contest and both the Humorous and International speech competitions. Rod is a paramedic and Queensland Chair of the Australian College of Ambulance Professionals. When Rod talks to us, we know we’re in good hands. Rod won the People’s Choice award at the Inaugural I Love Cairns Speech contest in 2009.
Members and friends are invited to attend the Conference. As well as providing some great learning experiences, there will be plenty of entertainment from the best speakers from our local Clubs.
