In September 2010, new member Michael McGarry had just given his IceBreaker speech at the Mt Sheridan Toastmasters Club and was invited to attend the Area Conference as a Test Spaker for an Evaluation competition. Fast forward two years, and Michael was back at the Area Conference as Master of Ceremonies and President of the Mt Sheridan Toastmasters Club. Being the successful MC for an event requires a careful balance of skills so that the function runs smoothly. Michael made this process seem effortless with his friendly and clear control.
